Joonho Seo is a visiting scholar at the Department of Radiology, Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH), Boston, MA, from the Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials (KIMM), South Korea. His research focuses on medical diagnostic robots, specializing in multi-DoF parallel mechanisms, visual servoing, and telemedical robot systems. At KIMM, he serves as a principal researcher in the Department of Medical Robotics and also a professor of Department of Mechanical Engineering of University of Science & Technology (UST). He received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Graduate School of Engineering, The University of Tokyo, Japan, in 2011. From 2012 to 2014, he was a senior research member at the Medical System Lab., Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology (SAIT), Samsung Electronics.
